We Love the Coast During the Summer

We love the coast when it is hot and dry

We love the coast during the summer. People come from many different places to enjoy the sun and the warm ocean waters. Small towns and homes which have been empty most of the year, especially during the winter months, suddenly come to life and you can hear the laughter coming from them. Beach parties are organized by teenagers and dancing to loud music and strange rhythms begins everywhere. Friends who had not seen each other since the previous season meet again to talk about the past year, their successes and defeats. Everyone is happy to see each other and everyone has something new to tell. Problems and work are left behind in the city, the coast is a place to enjoy and release all the steam piled up during the past months.

We love the coast and the changes it brings over people

People tend to stay away from cities during the summer months. The coast is not the same in a city than out near a small town or village. The water and the air are cleaner and fresher away from the city smog and the noise and fast pace of life. People change when they leave the city and head up the coast, it is like if they shed their city costumes and dress up in their nice and friendly personalities. They are ready for fun, sun and water. We love the coast and the beach because of this. All is happiness and harmony while people are out on vacations enjoying their friends company and the ocean breeze. Friendships are renewed, hopes and dreams are shared under the stars and loves begin and fade away as the summer days go by.

We love the coast, its peace and beauty

Walking down a stretch of beach during the sunset or sunrise is a godly experience. The play of colors and tones of the sun’s rays over the water can be mesmerizing. Waves breaking against the surf or on the rocks under a cliff are so refreshing and are so harmonious that it is hard to find a better lullaby to sleep to. We love the coast because of the combination of sensations it produces in every human being that visits it. Peace and quiet are reached by following the cadence of the waves breaking on the surf. Freshness and healing come from the waters that bathe your body and soul as you walk into the cool fresh waters of the salty ocean, when you feel the waves beat softly against your legs and you feel alive. Wonder and awe come from staring at the sun setting over the ocean at a distance reflecting its colors and life upon the water. Nature in its greatest splendor stands before us, a gift from God for all of us to enjoy and appreciate.
